Here at St. Peter’s, we have been blessed, increasingly by the numbers of children regularly involved in the life of our church. From crèche upwards our average is now 25 children on Sundays and rising.This is thanks not least to the commitment and dedication of our children’s and youth leaders over the last few years. It’s also and mainly down to the incredible grace of God himself – our church is growing and it’s all down to Him. This is clearly a move of God and we must respond to it.
The future health and growth of our church will be built on a number of things. One of those things is our small groups ministry – and our children’s groups are very much part of that.
Small groups across our church are developing a sense of belonging and will enable us all to grow as followers of Jesus. This is for people of all ages.
We are committed to providing for our children from the age of 0 to 18. Our work with children and young people is one of our highest priorities.
We are committed to investing considerable resources in our children and youth. Our aim is nurture their faith in Jesus Christ so that they may grow as his followers from a young age. We believe they have much to offer the wider church and seek to encourage them in every way.
For primary age children and younger, and especially for those who find Sunday attendance difficult we run a monthly children’s service at 10am on the last Saturday of each month, in All Saints church building. This short and fun service involves craft activities, stories, songs, prayers and refreshments for adults and children.
At St Peter's and All Saints', 'church' isn't just for Sunday. We provide a range of activities throughout the week.
Alternative Friday evenings at 7:30pm in St Peter's Church Hall:
Rock Solid (Youth Group) (for 11+)
Parents and Toddlers - Tuesday morning group and afternoon group. Thursday morning group - all in the church hall.
Baby Signing Class - Friday mornings in the Church Hall.
Saturday mornings 10:00am last Saturday of the month:
Children's Workshop - crafts, songs and stories.
Saturday evenings at 5:30, first Saturday of the month:
Film Night - a family film on the big screen with free refreshments.
